Are We There Yet? Charting a Path for Success with Course Mapping
Zelphia A. Brown, EdD, SPHR

To achieve the best possible results from your training activities, you need to follow a purposeful,  strategic Course Map.

What is a Course Map? A Course Map outlines how the objectives, instructions, and assessments in your course will align to help employees attain competency and is typically developed using Backward Design. It serves as an important tool for organizing your course design and development project.

Simply put, Course Mapping is the simplest, yet most effective way to improve instruction and learning.

In this webinar, we will discuss:

  • What is a Course Map
  • The importance of Course Mapping
  • The benefits and challenges of Course Mapping
  • The concept of course alignment, useful elements of a course map, Backward Design, and the Course Mapping process.
