Bob Taylor, Co-Founder and CEO of Orgwide Services, LLC
Bob brings nearly 40 years of hands-on management, real-world leadership, and organizational experience, which includes 25 years focusing on workforce development. Bob's genuine enthusiasm and commitment to helping others develop their skills resulted in a synthesis of a business and personal philosophy that culminated in him starting a training services company, Orgwide Services, in 2004. With over 1,100 training and development projects across 22 industries to his team’s credit, Bob leverages a breadth of experience and perspective shaped by a clear understanding of what’s possible and what works. Most importantly, he brings unity of purpose to the Orgwide team.
As a “digital enthusiast” and early adopter of immerging technologies, Bob has a long and established record of leveraging technical innovations in the areas of training and development. Whether teaching his kids how to use MacPaint on an Apple IIc in 1985, showing FedEx couriers safe driving tips using interactive video in 1990, creating Flash-based online training in 2003, or exploring the benefits of AI-enabled holograms as mentors in 2016, you’ll likely find Bob focused on students, technology, and maximizing instructional efficiencies.
A native Memphian, Bob lives in Rossville, TN, with his wife, some herding dogs, and ninja cats.
Session Overview – As we now find ourselves well into 2018, professionals in the workforce development community are witness to the accelerating immergence, convergence, and maturity of numerous technologies that promise instructional breakthroughs. Individually, these technologies are functionally fascinating. In combination, they are potentially profound.
In our session, we will describe these technologies at a high level and then focus our attention on one of immediate interest: Augmented Reality (AR). Of course, what exploration of AR would be complete without a proper demonstration?
