The workplace is changing. It is more collaborative, diverse, and demanding with seemingly constant change. While we spend more and more on leadership development, studies indicate that our employees’ confidence in their leaders has been stagnant. Human dynamics problems (or symptoms?) such as lack of engagement, retention issues, silo mentalities, customer experience shortfalls, and culture issues remain. What’s missing? How can we have a greater impact? How can we turn more managers into leaders?
This interactive session with live actors will challenge you to think differently about how you develop your leaders. A highlight of the presentation will be a “real-life” interactive case study. The case study will interactively explore how we typically approach managers, discover new methods of interacting with them, and expose a four-step process for improving our development efforts.
Along the way, discover a key leadership skill that you could personally improve to have a greater impact.
You will walk away with the following learning objectives:
- Learn how to speak their language and identify what’s going on under the surface.
- Understand a process to achieve greater impact in your leadership development efforts.
- Explore how to use the process in your own workplace.
- Identify a change you can make to improve one of your own leadership skills.
Earlier this year, Mark delivered this session to SHRM Nashville and it was very well received. We are pleased and excited to bring it to ATD Memphis!
