It’s no secret that Memphians are generous with our time and contribute more volunteer hours than any other city in the state of Tennessee. Volunteers are essential to the success of many organizations. A well thought out volunteer plan can help develop skills and talents in the volunteer and benefit the host organization. However, many times organizations fall short in recruiting and effectively managing their volunteer base.
Join us this month over lunch as we hear from Becky Genoways, President of Genoways Event Management and Program Specialist with Memphis in May International Festival where she coordinates the 900 member volunteer program for the Beale Street Music Festival. Genoways is a 30-year veteran of the festivals and events industry, a Certified Festival & Event Executive (CFEE), past Chair of the International Festivals & Events Association World Board of Directors and a member of the IFEA Hall of Fame. Genoways has effectively recruited and managed thousands of volunteers throughout her career. This lunch and learn will provide you with tools and resources to maximize the effectiveness of your volunteer recruitment and management efforts.
